We Love Our Animals And What We DO!
Here at Poore Girl’s Cockers Kennel facility, we strive to breed and raise healthy, high quality American Cocker Spaniels. We reside in the beautiful San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. Our dogs are AKC registered and bred according to “breed standards”. All of our dogs are our pets and enjoy life at our home from puppyhood until their natural time of passing.

Our puppies are raised in a rural country home environment. Puppies are whelped in our home so that they can be loved, held, and monitored daily during those crucial first weeks of life. Puppies are seen by our licensed veterinarian during their first week of life for a check-up, tail docking, and dew claw removal per breed standard. At five weeks of age, our pups receive a single dose parvovirus vaccination and are dewormed. Between seven to eight weeks of age, our puppies once again visit our veterinarian During this vet visit, puppies receive their final vet check, are dewormed, and receive their first combination vaccination. Puppies will need two more boosters after they are adopted by their new owners; one at 12 weeks and one at16 weeks. Puppies will also need their first Rabies vaccine around 5-6 months when they are old enough to be spayed or neutered. Puppies are available for adoption at 8 weeks.
